THE WORLD · SURVEY IN PROGRESS
As far as the ink reaches.
Drawn from what records survive. The margins were never finished.

RECORD 01 · THE WORLD
BLOT’s world begins somewhere familiar.
A quiet room. Worn tools. Paper. Ink.
Nothing about it seems unusual.
Until it does.
The longer you look, the more the world starts to behave like a print: shadows fall too crisp, edges look carved, surfaces hold marks they shouldn’t. Images become dimensional. Things that were solid, for a moment, look flat.
No one has explained why.

RECORD 02 · THE STUDIO
Every story begins in the same room.
A worn printmaking studio. A heavy old press. A long worktable stained with years of ink. Carving tools laid out in a row. A drying line strung across the room, prints clipped to it. One tall window.
The room is full of an artist’s work, in many forms: prints, drawings in pencil and charcoal, paintings, sculpture. BLOT was made here, by hand.
Then the Studio was left behind. The tools are still where they were set down.
Years later, something in the room began to move.

RECORD 03 · THE LOOK OF THE WORLD
Everything here grows out of printmaking.
The shift between flat and dimensional is BLOT’s signature. The hand-carved linocut look never leaves the world — it is still there, even when things rise off the page.
Behind him, when something significant happens, a carved burst of lines may appear. What it is has never been said.
RECORD 04 · BLOT IN HIS WORLD

A faceless being of ink, risen from a hand-carved print.
Quiet. Observant. Curious. Protective of a world he does not yet understand. He resists anyone who tries to control him, define him, erase him, or contain him.
He is unsure what he is, or why.
He discovers the world at the same time you do — never ahead of it.
Three orbs remain near him. A smaller orb rests inside the heart-shaped opening in his chest. In every state, all three orbs and the small one respond together. The orbs never crack, and they never open.
